What is the difference between a cloud server and a VPS?
Functionally they are the same thing: a virtual private server with dedicated vCPUs, memory and SSD storage, and full root access. Our cloud servers are self-managed — you configure and run the machine yourself. If you would rather have the server managed for you, with cPanel/WHM, automated backups and dedicated IP addresses, our Managed Servers include a managed VPS plan and a dedicated server.
Which operating systems and applications can I run?
You choose from dozens of prebuilt images — popular Linux distributions and ready-made stacks for CMS, eCommerce and web application frameworks. With full root access you can also install and configure anything else yourself.

You can pay with telebirr, by credit or debit card, or by cash or cheque at our Addis Ababa office. Prices are denominated in USD and collected in Ethiopian birr at the prevailing rate. Cloud servers are billed quarterly, semi-annually or annually — the per-month rate is the same on every term.
Can I upgrade my cloud server later?
Yes. You can upgrade in place from Entry to Small, Medium or Advanced as your workload grows — storage, bandwidth, memory and CPU scale up without rebuilding the server.
